Australia's and the Southern Hemisphere's first digital gallery THE LUME housed at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre opened its doors in November 2021 and transforms the world's finest art into an immersion.

This evening Gastronome and the City attended Monet & Friends, predominantly celebrating the works of French impressionist painter Claude Monet and activating the senses transcending time.

The showing begins with a large-scale recreation of the renowned Bridge over a Pond and continues with a mirrored room full of water lilies and evocative symphonies of light and soundscapes.

Patrons can relish in the flavours of 19th-century France at onsite Café de Flore which has a Parisian-inspired menu including Champagne and artisan cheeses.
