A cold Winter's night in Melbourne was the perfect setting to visit moody and ritzy Bouvier Bar, the brainchild of Adrian Richardson, Chef-Owner of Carlton North's La Luna and the Bad Chef in television series Good Chef Bad Chef.

The backlit bar feature of the lengthy Art Deco space piqued our interest in a pre-dinner drink.

Just like Paris, bacon is always a good idea, and their signature cocktail list includes a well-balanced "Bacon Old Fashioned" of bacon washed rye whisky, maple syrup and bitters.

A 60 day dry aged Victorian beef steak frites, peppercorn sauce and hand cut fries from the brasserie style menu paired nicely with the 2021 Bannockburn 1314AD Pinot Noir.

The basque cheesecake with PX prunes and chantilly cream hit the dessert stomach spot.
