Before the first course, there is the table.

For Melbourne Food & Wine Festival's World's Longest Lunch 2026, that table stretched through Kings Domain, bringing together 1,600 guests for an afternoon inspired by the flavours and traditions of Greek Melbourne.

White linen. Afternoon light. Lemons placed with intention.

A menu shaped by Ella Mittas, Alex Xinis of Tzaki, Con Christopoulos and Stavros Konis of Kafeneion celebrated heritage, generosity and the joy of gathering around a shared table.

Yet the lasting memory was not a single dish.

It was the conversation, the atmosphere and the collective experience of dining beneath open sky.

Citrus. Linen. Sunlit.
