In a secret location off a Carlton North laneway is Enter Via Laundry, an Indian culinary experience to remember by Chef Owner Helly Raichura and her team.

This evening's dinner for 10 guests was a fine dining interpretation of cuisine from the state of Kerala in South India showcasing seasonal produce and Australian native ingredients.

A Mango Lassi cocktail featuring 78 Degrees Mango Gin, lemon myrtle and mountain pepper preceded a wine-matched five course menu comprising a honeydew-infused spicy and sour Rassam broth; paperbark smoked Syrian Christian pork with passionfruit skin jam; saltbush seasoned Kallumakai mussels; green lip abalone Karimeen Pollichattu in banana leaf with aniseed myrtle and ginger lime; a Sadhya assortment including Idichakka Thoran of stir fried jackfruit typically enjoyed during the Onam harvest festival; fennel and coconut flavoured Kunji Pathiri with kangaroo tail, puffed rice and preserved gooseberries; and Vattayappam cake with papaya sorbet, carrots and caramel.

A Kaapi filtered coffee nightcap was had in the recently added bar which can be entered via a front door off Nicholson Street.
