High Tea with Kerrie Hess.

An afternoon of sophistication was had with acclaimed Artist and Fashion Illustrator Kerrie Hess whose global collaborations include eminent brands and publications such as Chanel, Tiffany & Co. and Vogue.


The elegant Alto Room on level 25 of The Langham hotel was especially fitting given her namesake of The Residence by Kerrie Hess, a luxury suite inspired by a Parisian apartment and styled with her pieces.


Guests revelled in Kerrie's live completion of an acrylic masterpiece, the launch of her new book 75 Summers and a reminder of how precious life is with the average person fortunate enough to experience this number of the temperate season and an array of canapés curated by the culinary team and accompanied by Taittinger champagne.


The savoury treats comprised egg and avocado sandwich; prawn banh mi; brioche with smoked salmon cream and finger lime honey; porcini and shiitake brûlée with crispy cheese; chorizo and sweetcorn arancini with lemon and paprika mayonnaise; bacon and onion tartlet with egg custard and caramelised onion.


To finish, there were sweet bites of persimmon and pumpkin soufflé cheesecake; saffron spiced rice pudding with fig and apricot compote; blackberry vincotto macarons; flourless chocolate and gianduja slice; strawberry and rhubarb pavlova along with vanilla and raisin scones with housemade clotted cream and autumn fruit jam.
